Guidance with studying abroad
The International Office provides advice on all issues relating to studies abroad. It coordinates exchange opportunities with more than 450 partner universities worldwide, within Europe primarily as part of the ERASMUS program, and for the rest of the world via LMUexchange. LMU students wishing to undertake a period of study abroad can of course independently arrange to study at a foreign university, but an exchange as part of the Erasmus or LMUexchange program offers several benefits.
The International Office helps LMU students with initial orientation and specific planning for their period of study abroad by providing the following services:
- Preliminary information resources
- Personal guidance with studying abroad
- Information events
- International university days and fairs
- Advice on funding options and accreditation of achievements gained from study abroad
- Intercultural preparation for study abroad
Anyone more interested in working or completing an internship abroad can contact the ‘Student und Arbeitsmarkt’, LMU’s career service, for advice and assistance.
