C•A•P Center for Applied Policy Research

The Center for Applied Policy Research was founded in 1995 to coordinate the independently funded practice-oriented research under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Werner Weidenfeld. Work is organized around four research groups and the Academy of Leadership & Competence which all share a common applied policy research approach. As an independent think tank, the C•A•P strives to foster a practice-based focus as the necessary supplement to basic research. Based on the results of its work, the C•A•P provides advice to decision makers from politics, economy, science and mass media and formulates suggestions and recommendations to improve their work.
