Lasky Center for Transatlantic Studies
The Lasky Center for Transatlantic Studies at LMU houses the literary archive and library of the American publicist Melvin J. Lasky, and focuses on the study of transatlantic relationships in the fields of culture, history, and politics. The Center promotes and stimulates scholarly interactions by presenting exhibitions and lectures, and organizing workshops and conferences. An internship program gives students the opportunity to become acquainted at first hand with the analysis and evaluation of historical source documents. The Center also administers the annual Edmund Spevack Award for outstanding contributions by junior researchers.
