LMU Munich welcomes a delegation from its partner university in Alberta/Canada
This Monday, a high-ranking delegation of administration officials from the University of Alberta/Canada will visit LMU Munich. The delegation, including Dr. Carl Amrhein, Provost and Vice President (Academic) and Dr. Lorne Babiuk, Vice President (Re-search), will be welcomed at LMU Munich by Vice-President Professor Reinhard Putz and Chancellor Thomas May. The visit will include talks with academics from an ar-ray of specialist fields including Geosciences, Bacteriology and Virology, and Chem-istry and Pharmacy. The aim of the visit is to intensify the cooperation launched over three years ago between the two universities, and to explore new opportunities of collaboration in the fields of administration, study and research.
This visit from the partner university was preceded by a visit to Alberta last June by a delegation from LMU Munich. A group of leading academics and members of the university’s Central Administration, led by Vice-President Putz and Chancellor May, took the opportunity to learn about governance and management structures in the North American university system.
