New graduate school for Life Sciences

Munich, 06/24/2009

Outstanding doctoral candidates can apply up until 30 June 2009 for a newly established international PhD program. The graduate school “Life Science Munich: From Molecules to Systems (LSM)” is about to start in the winter semester 2009/2010. This international PhD program is a mutual initiative of the Faculty of Biology and the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy. The graduate school LSM has emerged from a university-internal strategy process. It practically covers the entire spectrum of life-science-oriented research: from anthropology, biochemistry, cellular biology, ecology and evolutionary biology to genetics, microbiology, botany, systems biology and zoology.

The program is open to applicants who already have a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree, or a German university Diploma in life and natural sciences. It is a three-year course and will be held in English.

Closing date for applications is 30 June 2009.
