International Summer Courses
LMU‘s Munich International Summer University (MISU), now in its sixth year, gets underway this month. Around 450 students from more than 70 countries have signed up for the courses on offer.
This year’s program includes a new course on “German Sources and Archives of Holocaust History”. Other options on the roster, such as the research program in Biosciences, the European Studies Program and the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School, have aroused great interest and enjoyed notable success in previous years. A total of 10 courses on topics drawn from Medicine, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Economics, Communication Sciences and Law give advanced students and junior researchers from all over the world the opportunity to expand their knowledge base in selected areas of their favorite subject or become acquainted with new fields.
In addition, a varied social program has been arranged. This includes trips to Berlin and Salzburg, visits to museums, galleries and the opera, and excursions to interesting destinations in Munich and its environs, and gives participants lots of chances to get to know one another, and to learn more about student life in Germany.
