Doc.International - Summer semester 2016

The program doc.internationalLMU is designed for international doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars who do their research at LMU Munich. The program is run by the International Office at LMU and supported by DAAD.

At the beginning of each semester we offer a meeting to provide detailed information about the program and various academic institutions cooperating with LMU. Your individual questions are welcome.

Language courses

In cooperation with "Deutschkurse bei der Universität München e.V." we offer different levels of academic German language courses. They are designed to develop and to improve language skills in particular fields of research. The courses focus on academic writing and oral presentation. They range from basic to advanced academic level. The different levels of the courses (A1-C2) refer to the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Cultural program

Our group excursions and guided tours provide the opportunity to get to know the place of study, to meet other international scholars and to share individual research experiences.

English Conversation Course

The International Office in cooperation with the Language Centre offers an English conversation course for international doctoral students and postgraduates. This course is designed particularly for students with an Asian mother tongue. It includes oral practice, pronunciation training, presentation skills and focuses on individual needs.
