Epidemiology (Master)

Degree: Master of Science (M.Sc.)
Description: The program offers students the chance to learn how to analyze different problems in health-related fields and to plan, execute, and interpret studies. They learn about the relationships between diseases and the risk factors that lead to ill health as well as how to diagnose diseases, to apply therapeutic approaches, and to determine the prognostic value and the influence of therapeutics on patient quality of life. Students also study the relationship between diseases, an individual’s genetic predisposition, and influential environmental factors.
Program start: winter semester only

Tuition: There are no tuition fees for this course. There is, however, a semester fee of 111 € for each student comprising a student services contribution (52€) and a basic fee for public transportation (59 €).
Admission requirements: Candidates must hold a bachelor degree in medicine, pharmacy, natural sciences, psychology, social sciences, statistics, sport science, economics and business administration, law and communication science, or another health science-related discipline. They must also speak excellent English and pass a special entrance exam.
