Accommodation
The Studentenwerk München owns various properties. If you apply for accommodation and get an offer, you will be allocated a room in one of the residences. Please note that the Studentenwerk offers single rooms mostly with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
The rental period for the winter term starts on October 1 and for the summer term on April 1. No exceptions can be made. Keys can be mostly picked up during the morning.
Please note that you cannot choose the type of residence you would like to live in.

The monthly rent for the student accommodation can be up to 370€ and a deposit of approx 250€-350€ will be expected.
It is not possible to choose which residences you want. You will receive one accommodation offer only. If you turn this down, no further offer will be made and you will have to look for private accommodation.
Please note, that LMU exchange students can only apply for student housing via the LMU online application form. Direct applications to the Studentenwerk are not permitted.
