  • 1 cup of milk
  • loose black tea
  • 5 cardamom pods
  • cloves

Add one cup of milk and one cup of water, together with 5 cardamom pods and a few cloves, to a pot, and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat, then add loose black tea (preferably Indian or African) according to taste, and allow the brew to draw until it takes on a caramel-brown color. Add sugar to taste, and bring to the boil once again. The resulting infusion, in combination with your favorite cake, pastry or cookies, is the perfect pick-me-up for a rainy day!
