Recipe

Ingredients:

  • red wine
  • cloves
  • cinnamon sticks
  • star anise
  • cardamom
  • nutmeg
  • orange segments

Method:

Heat (but do not boil!) the wine in a pot, together with a few cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cardamom pods, nutmeg and orange segments. Then turn the heat off, and let stand for about 15 minutes. Sweeten with sugar, if desired.
