Ingredients (serves 4):
- 500 g wheat flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 pkg sweet red bean paste
- To prepare the pastry dough, mix flour, yeast and water. Stir and then knead until a firm dough forms.
Set aside for 2 hours.
Knead the dough into a ball, roll out with a rolling-pin and cut into sections.
Place a tablespoon of the red bean paste in the middle of each, and fold the dough so that it is wrapped around the paste (see photos).
Steam the dousha bao for 20 minutes and serve.
