Language Requirements

Although many departments offer modules taught in English, at bachelor level the language of instruction at LMU is generally German. If you are planning to take modules in German, it is important that you improve your German language skills before you come to Munich. We advise you to refresh and improve your German language skills and to attend a German language course. You can either do this at your home university or in Munich.

No Certificate of Language Proficiency is required for students applying for summer semester 2014. We recommend at least level B1.
